Cat on Mat

Materials Needed:

Woven material or sample carpet square
White construction paper
Black marker
Brown felt

What to Do:

Using template, trace and cut out:

- Cat's body on brown felt.
- Cat's head on brown felt.

Cut small oval shapes from white construction paper to create eyes.
Instruct children to glue:

- Cat's body on mat or carpet square.
- Cat's head onto cat's body.
- Eyes onto cat's head.

Using a black marker instruct children to draw:

- Nose, mouth, and whiskers on cat's head.
- Pupils in cat's eyes.
- An outline around legs.
- Paws.
