Valentine Crown

Valentine Crown

Materials Needed:

Large white paper plate
6 - Conversation hearts
Red tempera paint
Glitter
Glue

What to Do:

Instruct children to:

- Paint entire plate, top and bottom, with red tempera paint.
- While paint is still wet, sprinkle top of plate with glitter.

When the paint is dry, make cuts about one inch in from outside edge, across center to opposite edge, stopping about one inch from outside edge.
Make three of these cuts, forming a star like pattern. (Hint, imagining a clock, the lines would connect at twelve and six o'clock, two and eight o'clock, and four and ten o'clock.)
Invite children to glue one conversation heart to each of the five points at the center of the crown.
Slightly bend up triangles to form a crown.
