Snow Owl

Snow Owl

Materials Needed:

Round wiggly eyes (2 per project)
Yellow construction paper
Large white paper plates
Glue

 Example plate: Part 1 & Part 2

What to Do:

Look at example plate (Part 1 & Part 2) for area to be cut. Instruct children on where to make the cuts on the paper plate.
After cutting, demonstrate to children how to fold in rim from the right side and glue, then how to fold in the left rim so it slightly overlaps the right one and glue down.
Instruct children to:

- Cut slits along bottom edge and side edges to give it a feathered look. (See example)
- Cut ear and beak shapes from yellow construction paper.
- Glue ears to top of owl's head, on the back side of the plate.
- Glue eyes and nose onto owl's face.
