Can You Hear It

Materials Needed:

Several sizes of paper cups
Paper clips
String
Water

What to Do:

Using a sharp object punch a hole in the bottom center of a paper cup. (Adult should do this step).
Tie paper clip to the string inside the cup and pull down on the string so paper clip lies flat on bottom of cup.
Soak the rest of string with water.
While string is wet have children pull their fingers down the string.
  Ask children "What it sounds like?"
If it does not work well try rewetting the string and keep practicing.
Try different sizes of cups and string to see what other sounds you can get.
