Growing Winter Fur
 
Materials Needed:
Plain white paper/foam cups (1 per child)
Potting soil
Grass seed
Markers
Plastic wrap

What to Do:
Instruct the children to:
    - Draw an animal face on their cups.
    - Fill their cups with potting soil.
    - Sprinkle grass seed on top of the potting soil.
    - Add water as necessary to keep the soil moist.
    - Cover with plastic wrap.
Explain to the children that soon they will observe their animals growing "fur".
Invite the children to remove the plastic as soon as they see the "fur" start to grow.
