Bumpy Roads

Materials Needed:
Sturdy cardboard (approximately 21"x10")
Strips of wood molding (long enough to fit across the cardboard)
Variety of objects to roll down the ramp (e.g. cars, balls, marbles, cardboard tubes)
Object to tape cardboard to (e.g. low bookshelf, back of chair, wall)
Tape

What to Do:
Tape wood strips across the cardboard.
Tape cardboard to a low shelf, back of chair, a wall, or a creative place of your choosing, to form your ramp.
Invite the children to take turns guessing what they think will happen when the different objects hit the molding strips as they roll down the ramp.
Instruct the children to take turns rolling the different objects down the ramp to see if they guessed correctly at what would happen.
