Bumpy Roads

Materials Needed:
Image1 Sturdy cardboard (approximately 21"x10")
Image1 Strips of wood molding (long enough to fit across the cardboard)
Image1 Variety of objects to roll down the ramp (e.g. cars, balls, marbles, cardboard tubes)
Image1 Object to tape cardboard to (e.g. low bookshelf, back of chair, wall)
Image1 Tape

What to Do:
Image1 Tape wood strips across the cardboard.
Image1 Tape cardboard to a low shelf, back of chair, a wall, or a creative place of your choosing, to form your ramp.
Image1 Invite the children to take turns guessing what they think will happen when the different objects hit the molding strips as they roll down the ramp.
Image1 Instruct the children to take turns rolling the different objects down the ramp to see if they guessed correctly at what would happen.
