Nature Painting

Materials Needed:

Nature items
Pie tins
Paint
A canvas (e.g.construction paper, poster board, canvas board)

What to Do:

Take children on a nature walk and collect items to do your "nature painting."
Invite children to collect things like pine branches, small sticks, etc...
Provide art center with canvas, pie tins filled with paint, and collected nature items.
Invite children to dip their "nature's paintbrushes" into the paint to create their masterpieces.
