Story Bag Sequencing Game

Materials Needed:

Large grocery bag
Many different items (representing parts in your story)
A story book

What to Do:

Ahead of time, place many items representing different parts of the story you will be reading, into the "Story Bag".
Read the children the story you have chosen.
After reading the story to the children, dump out the contents of the "Story Bag" in a place where the children can view everything that was in the bag.
Invite the children to try and put the items in sequential order.
Once the children feel the items are in the correct order, re-read the story and have them recheck their sequence.
