Scavenger Hunt

 Materials Needed:

Bags
Copies of hunt list

What to Do:

Give each child a copy of the hunt list and a bag.
Go on a nature walk with your children to look for the items that are on their list.
As they find the items instruct the children to put them in their bags.
Try to explore the area you will be using for the hunt ahead of time to make sure the children are in an area that is safe for them to pick things from (e.g. poison ivy/oak free, prickly plant free)
After you are finished with your nature walk invite the children to bring their findings to group time, to share and to have a "discussion about nature."
