Paper Plate Feathered Chick

Materials Needed:

Yellow construction paper
12mm wiggly eyes
Large paper plates
Yellow feathers
Yellow crayon
Glue

Template

What to Do:

Using template, trace/copy head, beak, and feet onto yellow construction paper then cut them out.
Cut paper plate in half.
Instruct children to:

- Color back side of plate yellow.
- Place plate so that straight edge is on top and curved part of plate is facing down.

Instruct children to glue:

- Yellow feathers on plate.
- Feet so they slightly overlap behind the plate.
- Head so it slightly overlaps behind the plate and is located on the top left or right side of plate.
- Beak so it slightly overlaps behind the head.
- Eye onto head.
