Materials Needed:
Liquid plant food (Keep out of reach of the children)
Water
Clear plastic cups
Cardboard circles (slightly larger than top of cup)
Plants (approximately 4 inches tall)
Cotton

What to Do:
Mix the liquid plant food according to the directions on container. (An adult should do this step.)
Cut out a small circle (approximately 1 cm), in the center of the cardboard circle.
Insert the roots through the hole in the cardboard circle.
Wrap a piece of cotton around the stem of each plant. The cotton will help to secure the plant and keep it from slipping through the hole in the cardboard circle.
Pour the plant solution into the cup and submerge the plant roots into the solution by placing the cardboard circle on top of the cup. (As solution evaporates, replace with more solution.)
Place the cup in an area that has indirect sunlight.
