Dissolving Experiment

Dissolving Experiment

Materials Needed:

Clear cups (4)
Water (enough to fill each of the cups 3/4 full)
Spoon
Salt
Sugar
Pebbles
Sand
Kool-Aid

What to Do:

Show the children the salt, sugar, pebbles, sand, and Kool-Aid.
Ask the children, which of these items do they think will dissolve in the water after being stirred into it.
Place each item in a separate cup of water.
Stir each cup of water after the ingredient is added, and see which guesses are correct.
