Tree Rubbings

Materials Needed:
White/light colored paper
Crayons (fat crayons work best)
Trees

What to Do:
Remove the paper from the crayons being used for the tree rubbings.
Bring the children outdoors with their papers and crayons and have them take turns doing their tree rubbings.
Assist the children by holding the paper on the tree while they rub the paper with the side of the crayon. (This will produce the texture of the tree onto the paper.)

*You can also bring in large pieces of bark to use for the rubbings in the event the weather does not permit you to go outside.
