What Makes This Sound?
Materials Needed: Tape of a variety of different sounds
Variety of pictures corresponding to the things that made the sounds on the tape
What to Do: Make a tape of several different sounds. You can get very creative with this project. Some ideas for sounds are: a toilet flushing, a doorbell, a dog barking, an alarm clock, a tea kettle, use your imagination and you'll be surprised at the noises you find. Invite the children to try and guess the sounds. You may also want to cut out pictures of things that represent the sounds you taped. If the children have a hard time guessing the sounds, you can have them try and pick out the picture they think it might sound like. |
