Texture Flower for Mom

Materials Needed:

A large sheet of construction paper or poster board
A variety of textured materials (fabric, sand papaer, etc)
Glue
Scissors
Cardboard

What To Do:

Make a copy of the texture flower template.
Trace template onto cardboard (I always save cereal and other food boxes) or poster board, then cut out as many as needed.
Have children use the cardboard templates to trace the texture flower design onto different materials.
Cut out the textured flowers and have children glue to construction paper/poster board.
When finished, have children feel their flowers and describe how they feel to them.

Document their observations.
