Bottle Band

Materials Needed:
A variety of different size glass bottles and jars
Water
Spoon
Food coloring (if desired)

What to Do:
Using a variety of different size glass bottles and jars, fill with water at various levels (adding different colors of food coloring makes it more interesting to look at).
Since the bottles are different sizes and have different amounts of water in them, a variety of notes will be produced by lightly tapping them with a spoon. *

* You may also want to line up the bottles in order of their sound (low notes to high notes).
