Zoo Bean Bag Toss

Zoo Bean Bag Toss

Materials Needed:

Several plastic shoe boxes
Beanbags
Pictures of zoo animals
Tape
Scissors

What To Do:

On the inside bottom of each of the shoe boxes tape a picture of a zoo animal (a different animal in each box).
Place the boxes on the floor and have the children take turns trying to toss a beanbag into one of the shoeboxes.
If a beanbag lands in one of the boxes, ask the child to make the appropriate noise that corresponds to the animal in the box.

Variation:

The teacher makes a sound like one of the animals pictured in the boxes. The child tries to get the beanbag into the box of the animal for which the noise was made (for example, if the teacher says "Roar", the child would try to throw the beanbag into the box that contains a picture of a lion).
