Animal Sound Game

Materials Needed:

Glue
Rope or string
Grey, brown or tan construction paper
Laminating material
Number cards or a die

What To Do:

Using rope or string, make a "walking" path.
Cut out several large stone shapes from the construction paper.
Glue a picture of a farm animal or zoo animal on each of the stones.
Laminate the stones for better durability.
Line the path with the stones. (You may want to tape the stones down using masking tape to keep them from slipping.)
Have each child take a turn picking a number card or rolling the die and moving down the path. Count each stone until he/she reaches the number picked or rolled. They should make the sound of the animal they land on.
Have the children continue taking turns moving down the path until they reach the end.
