Mama and Joey Number Matching Game

Materials Needed:

Mama kangaroo template
Joey kangaroo template
Black marker
Tan construction paper
Scissors

What To Do:

Using the template, trace 10 or 20 mama kangaroos onto tan construction paper and then cut them out.
Using the template, trace the same amount of joeys as you did mama kangaroos onto tan construction paper and then cut them out.
Using a black marker, write a different numeral on each of the mama kangaroos (1-10 or 1-20).
Using a black marker, draw a different amount of dots (1-10 or 1-20), onto each of the joeys. *
Ask the children to match the correct joey to its mama, and then have the children place the joeys into his/her mama's pouch.

* If the children in your class are at a higher skill level, you may want to use number words instead of dots.
