Sifting for Gold

Materials Needed:
Sensory table/large container
Sand
Slotted spoons
Sieves/strainers
Rocks (small)/pea gravel (medium sized)
Gold spray paint
Gold plastic coins

What to Do:
Spray small rocks/pea gravel with gold paint.
Fill sensory table/container 3/4 full with sand.
Add colored rocks and/or gold coins.
Invite children to use spoons/sieves/strainer to sift through the sand and pan for gold.
