The Most Beautiful Sunflower in the World
 
Materials Needed:
Construction paper (brown, white, and green)
 Paint (yellow and green)
  Glue
  Pencil
  Paint brushes
  Picture of each child
 Sunflower seeds
 Template

What to Do:
  Trace and cut out the circle template onto brown paper.
  Trace the circle template onto the white construction paper, near the top center as a guide for the handprints.
  Paint child’s hand yellow and assist them with stamping their hand going around the circle to create the flower petals.
 Cut out a green strip about an inch thick.
Instruct children to glue: 
- The brown circle between the yellow "flower petals" (handprints). 
- The green strip down as a flower stem.
  Paint child’s hands green and assist them with stamping each one with the thumb pointing towards the outside of the paper next to each other on both sides of the stem to resemble leaves.  
  PP   Paint the child’s fingers green and assist them with stamping their fingers across the bottom of the page to resemble grass. 
  Instruct children to IInstruct children to glue:
- Their photo to the brown circle as the center of the flower.
- Sunflower seeds on brown paper around child's picture.
