Our Classroom Authors

Materials Needed:
Cardstock
Markers
Metal rings
Photographs of children  (reading or writing in the classroom)
Glue
Scissors
Hole punch

What to Do:
Take photographs of each child in your class reading or writing.
Cut cardstock in half and glue one picture to each sheet of cardstock.
Invite each child to dictate their favorite book and what the book is about then write their dictation below the picture.
Punch three holes along the side of each page and thread a metal ring through each hole to hold the book together.
Put the book in your class library and invite the children to take turns reading it during free reading time.
