What to Do:

Make an outline of a road using black yarn or string.
Make an outline of a crosswalk over the road using the white yarn or string.
Invite several children to ride their tricycles or scooters and/or push their trucks up and down the road.
Instruct children to take turns being the pedestrian trying to cross the road whenever they feel it is safe to do so.
Remind the children to look both ways before crossing the road.
