Batik Art

 

Materials Needed:
  White paper
     Colorful crayons
  Pan of water
    Watercolor (one shade)
    Newspaper (for drying on)

 

What to Do:
    Have child color a picture on white paper using bright crayons.
    When done place the drawing in a pan of water for two minutes.
    Remove drawing from pan and gently ball the drawing up.
    Flatten the drawing out and paint watercolor over entire drawing.
     Quickly dip back into the water.

    Remove and flatten back out.
  Allow to dry.
