Marble Painting Spider Web

Materials Needed:
Black construction paper
White paint
Black paint
Glue
Scissors
Box or Box Lid (about the same size as the web pattern or slightly larger)
Marbles

What to Do:
Trace web template onto black construction paper and cut out.
Place web cut out in a box or box lid with marbles dipped in white paint and demonstrate to children how to move the box back and forth and side to side to move the marbles to create a web design on the paper.
Invite the children to paint a spider onto their web using the black paint. You may also choose to use a black pom-pom, a black pipe cleaner (cut into eight small pieces for legs), and two wiggly eyes instead of using the black paint for the spider. (See sample above.)
