Creating Our Metamorphosis Habitat
Materials Needed:
 Milk cartons
  Panty hose
  Caterpillars with a short pupal stage
  Sticks
  Leaves
  Scissors

What to Do:
  Cut windows into the milk cartons.
  Have children collect sticks and leaves for their caterpillars and place them into the milk carton through the window.
  Add a caterpillar to each milk carton.
  Help children slide the milk carton into the panty hose.
  Observe your caterpillar form a cocoon or a chrysalis.
  Have children dictate their observations and illustrate what is happening to their habitat.
