Help a Pet Materials Needed: Tissue box (empty) Construction paper (any color) Glue Wiggly Eyes What to Do: Cut cat ears, feet, and whiskers out of the construction paper and glue onto the box. Draw on the nose and mouth then add the wiggly eyes. Talk to the children in your class about how some animals do not have homes and live in shelters. Explain that loose change around the house may help raise money for food and beds for the animals. Invite children to bring in loose change and put in the “kitty” box. Visit the animal shelter with the donations and take pictures with the animals to bring back to school. |
