Coffee Filter Earth

Materials Needed:
Coffee filters
Food coloring or liquid water colors (blue and green)
Cups (small)
Water
Eye droppers
Construction paper (black)
Glue
Foil stars

What to Do:
Place water and food coloring or liquid watercolors in cups.
Invite children to use eye droppers to bring up the colored water and drip onto coffee filters until the filter resembles an earth.
Let the filters (earths) dry.
Invite children back to the Science center to glue their “earths” to the black construction paper and create their constellations using the foil stars.
