Stained Glass Hearts Materials Needed: White construction paper Colorful tissue paper cut into small squares (1X1) Clear Contact paper Hole puncher String Scissors Permanent marker What to Do: Trace a large heart shape onto a piece of white construction paper and cut out. Trace a small heart shape onto the center of the large heart and then cut it out. Place the large heart onto a piece of clear Contact paper. Using scissors cut contact paper around the outside edge of the heart. Invite the children to use the tissue paper squares to fill in the center of the heart by placing tissue paper on the exposed contact paper. Punch a hole in the arch at the top of each side of the heart and tie one piece of string through each hole to create a loop. Using a permanent marker label the child’s name arcoss the middle of the heart. Hang in a window and enjoy! |
