Stained Glass Hearts

Materials Needed:
Image1 White construction paper
Image1 Colorful tissue paper cut into small squares (1X1)
Image1 Clear Contact paper
Image1 Hole puncher
Image1 String
Image1 Scissors
Image1 Permanent marker

What to Do:
Image1 Trace a large heart shape onto a piece of white construction paper and cut out.
Image1 Trace a small heart shape onto the center of the large heart and then cut it out.
Image1 Place the large heart onto a piece of clear Contact paper.
Image1 Using scissors cut contact paper around the outside edge of the heart.
Image1 Invite the children to use the tissue paper squares to fill in the center of the heart by placing tissue paper on the exposed  contact paper.
Image1 Punch a hole in the arch at the top of each side of the heart and tie one piece of string through each hole to create a loop.
Image1 Using a permanent marker label the child’s name arcoss the middle of the heart.
Image1 Hang in a window and enjoy!
