Raindrops Falling

Materials Needed:
Image1 Construction paper (blue)
Image1 Umbrella
Image1 Raindrop song
Image1 Laminating material

What to Do:
Image1 Using blue constuction paper, cut out (many) raindrop shapes and laminate them.
Image1 Place raindrops into an umbrella placed upside down on the floor.
Image1 Lift umbrella right side up and let the raindrops fall while chanting this song:
“Raindrops falling all around, let’s count all the raindrops on the ground.”
Image1 Reposition the umbrella, upside down on the floor again.
Image1 Invite the children to pick up all the raindrops and take turns counting them as they toss them back into the umbrella.
