Raindrops Falling

Materials Needed:
Construction paper (blue)
Umbrella
Raindrop song
Laminating material

What to Do:
Using blue constuction paper, cut out (many) raindrop shapes and laminate them.
Place raindrops into an umbrella placed upside down on the floor.
Lift umbrella right side up and let the raindrops fall while chanting this song:
“Raindrops falling all around, let’s count all the raindrops on the ground.”
Reposition the umbrella, upside down on the floor again.
Invite the children to pick up all the raindrops and take turns counting them as they toss them back into the umbrella.
