Digging For My Name

Materials Needed:  

Rocks  

Sand  

Sensory table  

Black permanent marker

What to Do:  

Write letters on the rocks using a black permanent marker. Make sure that you write enough letters for all the children in the class to be able to spell their names (i.e. Vivien will need to have two V’s available).  

Fill the sensory table with sand and add rocks.  

Have children dig through the sand to find the rocks with the letters that they will need to spell their names.
