Space Helmets

Materials Needed:

Clean large cardboard buckets (e.g. fried chicken buckets, ice cream parlor buckets, movie theater popcorn buckets)

Silver duct tape or spray paint

Bottle caps (assorted sizes)

What to Do:

Turn bucket upside down

Cut the front of the bucket in an arch so the kids face will show through.

Spray paint bucket or cover with duct tape.

Instruct children to add bottle caps as decorations.

Children can use helmets in dramatic play.

*You can request the cardboard buckets from various local food or movie venues and quite often they will give them to you free of charge or for a nominal fee.
