Hard and Soft (Turtle and Lamb)

Materials Needed:

Turtle and lamb duplicating sheet
Cotton balls
Markers/crayons
Pinecones
Glue

What to Do:

Copy one duplicating sheet per child.
Instruct the children to color their turtle's head, and feet, tail, and the lambs face and hooves.
Break off the pinecone petals from the pinecone. (Adults should do this step and might want to use work gloves.)
Give each child approximately 20-25 pinecone pieces, some cotton balls, and glue.
Explain to the children that a turtle has a hard shell to help protect it and a lamb has a covering of soft wool.
Instruct the children to glue the pinecone pieces on the turtle to make a shell for him and cotton balls on the lamb's body.
