Bandage Sorting

Materials Needed:

Different size bandages and gauze pads
Empty first aid kit or a box decorated to look like one
Index cards
Markers

What to Do:

Place a large assortment of different size and shape bandages in the first aid kit.
Make sorting cards, by sticking a bandage on an index card and using the marker write a descriptive word (e.g. big, small, round, rectangular, colorful, plain) about the bandage.
Lay out the index cards and instruct the children to take turns placing the bandages from the first aid kit, under the index card that they feel best describes it.
