Splatter Painting Leaves
Materials Needed: Leaves Paper Red, orange, and yellow paint Toothbrushes Plastic knife White construction paper Cardboard box
What to Do: Have children collect large flat leaves from outside and tape a few to a piece of white paper. Place the paper in the cardboard box and dip the bristles into watered down tempera paint and have children scrape a plastic knife across the bristles to splatter the paint. Have the children repeat this process until the paper is mostly covered in the paint splatters. Remove the leaves to see the shadows left behind.
