My Family Tree

Materials Needed:

Construction paper (green and brown)

Red paint

Black markers

Glue

Plate or pie tin

What to Do:

Cut out a tree trunk shape onto brown paper.

Cut out atree top shape onto green paper.

Glue the tree top to the trunk and allow tree to dry.

Demonstrate to children how to dip their thumbs into red paint and stamp onto the tree tops. Instruct children to place one print for each family member that they want represented on their tree.

After the red paint has dried invite the children to give their “family” faces and help them label each family fingerprint member.
