Letter Scents

Materials Needed:
Salt or pepper shakers
Paper towels or cotton balls
Scented oils
Marker

What to Do:
Using empty salt or pepper shakers (which you sometimes can find at your local dollar store), place a paper towel or cotton ball saturated with a scented oil into the shaker.
Label the outside with the first letter of the name of the scent using the marker.
Have children try to guess the name of the scent by using the first letter and their sense of smell.

*Alternatively, you can use film canisters.  Ask your local retailers for empty canisters.
