Letter Scents

Materials Needed:
Image1 Salt or pepper shakers
Image1 Paper towels or cotton balls
Image1 Scented oils
Image1 Marker

What to Do:
Image1 Using empty salt or pepper shakers (which you sometimes can find at your local dollar store), place a paper towel or cotton ball saturated with a scented oil into the shaker.
Image1 Label the outside with the first letter of the name of the scent using the marker.
Image1 Have children try to guess the name of the scent by using the first letter and their sense of smell.

*Alternatively, you can use film canisters.  Ask your local retailers for empty canisters.
