Magnificent Mittens

 

Materials Needed:
Image1 Large heavy white paper
Image1 Assorted tempera paint
Image1 Paint brushes
Image1 Easel
Image1 Story Starter
Image1 Glue
Image1 Scissors
Image1 Glitter
Image1 Markers

 

What to Do:
Image1 Draw a large mitten shape and cut out (large enough to cover easel). One per child.
Image1 Have each child paint their mittens at the easel.
Image1 Provide circle shaped tracers. Invite children to trace snowball on white paper and cut out. Paint or color the snowball and add glitter if desired.
Image1 Story starter: “I made a snowball one fine day, but it fell from my hand and rolled it away. It rolled…” have children complete sentence.
Image1 When dry, glue snowball and story to mitten.
