Pet Collars

Materials Needed:
Paper plates
Sequins/jewels
Markers/crayons
Glue
Pipe cleaners
Foam sheet
Hole puncher

What to Do:
Cut out the center circle of the paper plate.
Provide children with sequins/jewels, markers/crayons, glue and invite them to decorate their pet collars.
Trace a heart or other shape onto foam sheet and cut out.
Punch a hole in the outside edge of the plate and one on the top of the foam shape. Use a pipe cleaner to create a loop to attach the foam shape to the “collar”.
Ask children what they would like to name their pet and either assist with the spelling of the name, or write the name onto the foam.
