Octopus Math

Materials Needed:
Octopus template
White construction paper
Glue
Cheerios or paper reinforcement circles

What to Do:
Trace/print out octopus template onto white construction paper and cut out.

Invite children to color the octopus.
Using ten circles per leg instruct children to place the cheerios or reinforcement circles on each octopus leg.
When finished, you will have a total of eighty circles.  Reinforce the concept of groups of ten (8x10=80).
