Which Holiday Does This Belong To?

Materials Needed:
3-5 large cans (e.g. large size soup or vegetable)
Pictures/stickers representing different December holidays (e.g. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa)
Posterboard/cardstock
Glue
Scissors
Magnets or magnet strip
Construction paper/shelf liner paper
Marker

What to Do:
Cover large cans with either construction paper or shelf liner paper.
Glue/stick pictures/stickers onto poster board and cut out as a square or rectangle.
Glue/stick magnets to the back of the holiday pictures.
Around the top section of the outside of the can, write the name of a December holiday (write a different holiday on each can).
Put all the holiday pictures together in a pile near the cans.
Invite the children to try and match the pictures to the can representing the correct holiday for that picture and then place the magnetized picture to the outside of the can.
