Balancing Parakeet

Balancing Parakeet

Materials Needed:

White tag board/cardstock
Crayons
Clay
Template

What to Do:

Using template trace parakeet onto white tag board/cardstock then cut out.
Invite children to use crayons to color parakeet.
Wrap clay around end of tail.
Instruct children on how to determine the best location to balance their parakeet by moving their fingers between its breast and tail. Once they have found the ideal location, mark it with a small arrow. This will make it easier to find the balancing point with future uses.
